SMARTREFTM 100% Heat RecoveryOrigin:Due to the natural struggle between refrigerated rooms and ambient building temperature, numerous supermarkets experience heat loss, discomfort for occupants and excessive energy costs. Traditional heat reclaim systems recover a maximum of 45% of the heat extracted from refrigerated cases, which is clearly insufficient to meet the standards identified by CSC. These standards respect heating of the vestibule, the retail surface, the reception docks, the storage and supermarket delivery deliveryareas. Advantages:
Operation:Conventional heating coils (electrical, water-heated or other), located in supermarket ventilation conduits and their heating systems are replaced by glycol coils. These allow the circulation of a warmed glycol liquid into a secondary loop heated through plate-exchange, which is located between the low-pressure hot gas discharge from the refrigeration system and glycol pumping system with the help of a glycol pump. The plate exchanger is located on a completely automated pumping station in order to reduce the amount of refrigerant used within the supermarket. The thermal energy stored by the glycol in the secondary loop is pumped towards the heat reclaim coils installed strategically throughout the establishment (reception docks, main air-handler etc.). Heat Recovery is achieved through the recovery of 100% of the heat rejected from the warm refrigerant to the plate-exchanger. The refrigerant then condenses and is sent to the multi-compressor systems’ liquid reservoir. Today, 100% Heat Recovery defines the capacity of a SMARTREFTM system to heat your entire building.
